Although Nintendo Switch does not have the native Roblox app, there are a few (not so simple) workarounds to get this game running on the console.
As of January 8, 2025, Roblox Corporation has not announced any plans for bringing its most popular title to the Switch Console. However, there are at least 3 valid ways you can enjoy Roblox on your Nintendo Switch’s screen. Please go through that statement one more time. Nintendo Switch does not have a native Roblox app. Instead, you can only stream the game to your Switch’s screen via the cloud (using the hidden web browser in your console, which must be activated first) or by installing Android and then downloading the Roblox Android app, which does sound simple but isn’t. There’s also a third-party app that allows you to stream your PC’s screen and you will need Roblox Windows app on your PC. Let’s dive into each of these techniques. But let me warn you again! This is, in no way or form, the official approach for accessing Roblox on a Nintendo Switch Console and there isn’t one either.
Roblox On Nintendo Switch Via Cloud
The concept of running Roblox on Nintendo Switch via Cloud will only be limited to the pages unless you find:
- A video game streaming service that supports Roblox.
- Alternatively, you could find a service that lets you stream your PC games on the web. Once you register on the service provider’s page, just install Roblox on your PC, set up your account, and provide your PC’s screen feed to the provider’s IP then finally stream the game on any web browser. Don’t forget to check out ‘Moonlight Stream’.
Once you decide on the streaming partner that you will be using to access Roblox on your Nintendo Switch, it’s time to activate the dormant browser on your console. The steps for activating the hidden browser within Nintendo Switch will be covered in a separate article.
Once the browser has been activated, head to the streaming partner’s website and you will be able to play Roblox on your Nintendo Switch.

Roblox Android on Nintendo’s Console
If you didn’t know it, Android could be installed on Nintendo Switch’s internal memory and you would even be able to casually perform all the actions that an Android system supports. However, the process of getting a fully functional Android OS running on a Nintendo Switch is complex (to say the least) and therefore, it’s only recommended if you know what you are doing. Keep in mind that Android installation on Switch involves making significant changes to the system’s internal memory, which is going to void your warranty plus you will also be going against Nintendo’s terms of service. Tread this path with caution.

Mirroring Roblox from Windows to Switch
This is yet another way you can get Roblox working on a Nintendo Switch. You will first need to download Roblox from the Microsoft Store on your Windows 10/11 PC then use a third-party screen mirroring application to cast your PC’s screen to your Switch. Or you could simply use this web remote access client called ThinVNC to access your PC remotely using a web browser. Launch the web browser on your Switch console, launch ThinVNC on your PC, and then establish a connection to your PC through your console (using the web browser, of course).
Other than the methods mentioned above, there aren’t any viable options for getting Roblox to run on Nintendo Switch at the time of writing this guide. To make things worse, Nintendo as well as Roblox Corporation haven’t said a word about when or if Roblox will ever come to Nintendo Switch. However, since the game isn’t too demanding (as it even runs on medium-spec mobile devices), hardware limitation does not seem to have a role here. The ball’s probably on Nintendo’s court and 2025 might finally be the year Roblox gets ported to Switch consoles. Stay tuned for updates!
