Xbox Game Pass Nepal: How to Subscribe?

Looking for a step-by-step guide on how to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass from Nepal? You’ve landed on the right page! Before we get started, let’s learn about the different Game Pass tiers and what each tier has to offer.

For those who have an Xbox, there are 3 tiers of Game Pass you can choose from.

For those who are familiar with Xbox Live, Xbox Game Pass Core is exactly that.

Xbox Game Pass Standard will give you access to way more than 25 games, along with online mutiplayer and the good old ‘Deals with Gold’. However, you won’t have the permission to access EA Play titles with a Standard Game Pass subscription.

Why Subscribe to GP Ultimate?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the real deal. As an Ultimate subscriber, you are entitled to enjoy all services included under the Standard subscription along with:

  1. Ability to play first party Microsoft titles like Forza Horizon, Flight Simulator, Call of Duty, etc. the moment they are launched.
  2. Exclusive perks, offers, discounts, and deals.

Microsoft has also added a cherry on top by including membership to EA Play (the standard one, however).

You will also be able to use xCloud for streaming games on your media devices (PC, Phone, iPad, or just anything with a screen plus Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities). You have to be in a xCloud supported region for this feature to work. Mathematically:

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate=Game Pass Core+Game Pass for Console+Game Pass for PC+EA Play and Day One Access to New Launches+[xCloud]

Purchasing Xbox Game Pass in Nepal

Nepal hasn’t yet been included in the list of supported countries for Xbox Live. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t access the features of Xbox Live from Nepal. As long as you have a valid payment method issued/based in any country where Xbox Live is supported, you can subscribe to the service by setting the location of your Microsoft Account to the same.

For instance, if you have access to a MasterCard issued by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the same can be used for subscribing to Xbox Game Pass. Simply follow these steps.

  1. Type in xbox.com on your web browser. You will be taken to the Xbox US site by default. Once you are on this page, change US to AU then hit Enter.

2. Once you are on Australia’s Xbox website, click on ‘Sign in’ located at the upper right corner of the screen and create a new Microsoft Account.

3. Now, follow the steps in this guide for subscribing to Xbox Game Pass.

Depending on the privacy and verification preferences set on the card, it might have to be verified with the provider.

By default, recurring billing will be turned on for your account but make sure that you disable it if you don’t wish to have the subscription charges for next month automatically debited from this card. Be advised that you must have a valid payment method in file for the subscription to be activated even if you are using a gift card code.

Also, a gift card for Xbox Game Pass entitled for use in the US can only be used on an account, should it have a payment method issued in the US linked to it.

We will cover the entire process of subscribing to Xbox Game Pass in a future article covering everything from creating a new account to adding a payment method. Alternatively, if you want to skip the hassle, you can get your subscription from NP Prepaid Team. They will handle everything (including adding a valid payment method to your account) and set up Xbox Game Pass on your own Microsoft Account. The subscriptions start at Rs. 999 per month and they have some really good discounts as well so don’t forget to check out their listings!
